![]() ![]() It seems to be that CAD softwares are exclusively single-threaded in every aspect except for rendering, as this is where my CPU and GPU really shine, but as for the activities mentioned previously, I noticed that the live graph depicting CPU usage only spikes significantly on a single core. I have a 1080 TI, and the fact that my live preview drops significantly in framerate and lags (like when I pan cross the screen or change camera angles or zoom) tells me it's not the GPU but the CPU - when running task manager on-screen at the same time as my modelling softwares, I can see the spike in CPU usage when doing those activities. I use a mix of Sketchup (for the accuracy of measurements needed to keep my models to scale) and Blender (for the advanced tools) and both softwares will really slow down when I work on complex models with a lot of detail. Personally, I find a lot of 3D modelling software to be incredibly CPU-dependant. ![]()
